This freebie post is a little different than previous posts. I’m trying something new! Instead of just one or 2 downloadables, this post contains 8 separate free printables. The theme is out of order sign printable freebies, in all sorts of different styles ranging from clean and clear to retro and stylized.
There are eight out of order sign printables in total, all of which you can download below. The format is US Letter only, but they will print on A4 paper. If you print on A4, make sure your printer options are set to fit to page. You may need to trim the borders a little bit with scissors or a paper cutter.
Zig zag out of order sign
This sign features a light gray zig zag background. The text states “out of order. Sorry about that” in purple and orange text. The purple text maintains a drop shadow in red, with the same zigzag pattern as the background. The ‘O’ in the word ‘out’ is replaced with a do not/no/anti sign in red.
Notice out of service poster
This is probably the most professionally useful sign of the whole lot. The borders are black and blue chunky diagonal stripes that frame large text. The text states “notice out of service. Do not operate. Sorry for any inconvenience.” There is also space for managers, operators, utility, and maintenance workers to note who placed the sign and the time and date the out of service sign was posted.
Yellow and red striped caution sign
Perhaps the simplest sign of them all, this out of order poster will still grab attention with its bold yellow and red diagonal striped border. Black text inside the border states “caution. Out of order” in large letters.
Typographic stylish out of order sign
This sign is a little more fun and original than some of the others, but the message is still clear. The text, in order, alerts its readers to the message “attention: this machine is out of order. Sorry for the inconvenience.” The color scheme is red, yellow, beige, purple, and black. The words alternate in different styles, from bold drop shadows (e.g. with the large “out of order” text”) to old wood type printing press forms (e.g. the words of and the).
Printable black and yellow caution out of order sign
Another eye-catching poster, this out of order message is framed with bold diagonal black lines and features an unmissable bright yellow background. Bold black reads “caution. Out of order” above smaller “sorry for any inconvenience” text.
Important notice sign
This is a clean out of order sign with an obvious message, but the design is slightly different than the usual. Handwritten (cursive) text across the top of the sign indicates this is an important notice. Below this is large red italicised block text with the out of order message. To the left of the main text there is a diamond shaped sign in orange with a white exclamation mark.
Retro themed sorry out of order sign
This is probably (definitely?) the most unusual printable out of order poster of all I’ve posted here. It’s full of peace, love, and psychedelic vibes with its late 60s inspired typeface. The design is based on thirds, with regards to both the text and the background. The former is split into three lines (sorry in red, out of in black outline and order in blue). The background sections are broken into both diagonal stripes and dotted newsprint on solid beige. Two megaphone in contrasting colors overlay the text.
Do not use sign to print
Straightforward and to the point, this free printable out of order sign is built in three sections. Along the top is a triangle with and exclamation sign inside. Below this is a yellow block that contains the word caution in all capital black letters. Finally there is a large red block with the text do not use and out of order inside in bold white print.
