It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything, since I’ve had the motivation to gear my brain toward creative endeavors. When I sat down to think about the sort of printable I most enjoy designing, my mind continued returning to recipe cards. They were, after all, the main reason I started Free Printables Online many years ago. And so that, combined with my love for tile design, led to this set of two 4×6 tiled recipe cards.
The designs are similar, with a few minor differences. But first, the similarities. Both of the tiled recipe cards feature a background of patterned geometric squares. It’s a busy but eye-catching design. The colors are bright, childlike, vibrant. Both recipe cards contain enough white space for the title of the dish, ingredients, and instructions (method). The cards are designed to be handwritten, so you will not be able to type on them when you open the file in your pdf reader.

Now, the differences. The first tiled recipe card contains slightly more white space. This covers more of the tile design, but the pattern is still visible through semi transparent edges to the white spaces. The tiles are also slightly larger on this card.
The pattern on second printable 4×6 recipe card is slightly condensed, with moderately less white space for writing the recipes. The plus side is the tiles stand out in a more bold manner.
