Inspired by a sweet wrapper (my sister gave me some chocolates), these cute blue and brown recipe card templates are available in both 4×6 and 3×5 formats. I’ve also figured out a way to make pdf files into which a user can type, so for the first time you can type on the cards before printing. So if your handwriting is less legible than Keanu Reeves is an adequate actor, you’re all set!

The Christmas season is upon us and I hope you all are getting all those last minute holiday whatsits sorted. Me, I’m not big into the holidays in terms of shopping, but I love all the cool ideas I see when it comes to gift wrapping, cards, and textile design related to the holiday. Each year the colors seem to get bolder and less standard (read: one shade of red + one shade of green + white), and I can’t help but be enamored with some of the awesome seasonal design out there. Recently a visitor left a comment on Skribit asking for portrait recipe cards. D’oh! I hadn’t even thought of a vertical format. Oops, my bad. I’ll try to make some more of these in future! Thank you to the reader who made the suggestion as I’m sure you’re not the only one who thinks it’s a cool idea. Funny how we get so stuck on what we’re used to seeing and don’t think outside the box…

I was working on a design for a possible new site I’ve had in the back of my mind for decades (okay, maybe a year, but same difference) and was fooling around with brushes and borders in illustrator. Why am I telling you this? Because that’s where the polka dottedness came from. A good one for anyone who loves color and isn’t afraid to use it! In my kitchen there’s plenty of color. Mainly it’s from food I’ve accidentally flung onto the ceiling.

It’s sneaking up on us faster than we’d like to admit, but nevertheless it is coming! It’s the C-word, folks. Christmas, Christmas! Get your minds out of the gutter, guys!

So anyway this printable Christmas greeting card features a pattern of prink and green Christmas tree spots on a striped background. It’s great for people who like a modern or contemporary take on the holiday season.

I’d like to offer a few possibilities for my seasonal printables, namely cards. By that I mean sometimes printables just don’t cut it. Another concept I’ve been meaning to get started on this site, printable calendars, has finally come to see the light of day! I love this concept because it’s simple both in design and in functionality. Simply print it and fold along the dotted lines between the 3 panels. Slip it in your pocket, your wallet, or in your desk drawer. It’s compact and to the point.

Our IOU coupons have been proving quite popular, so with such high demand I thought it would be nice to release another set.
