I’m trying to put together more recipe pages as they’re great for the holidays. This year and every year people are looking for home made holiday gifts. This could be for a number of reasons, from money to simply enjoying the process of putting something personal into your gift giving. Here are some really cute printable recipe pages which feature cute and colorful Victorian damask patterns (think wallpaper). Print them out with your favorite recipes and stick them in a fancy binder for a lovable gift idea.

A little more bold and colourful than past recipe pages, this one features a series of different shades of blue. Playful white text sits in the upper left corner (just in case you forgot it was a recipe for which you’d in fact typed up the ingredients and method). I’m seeing this in a funky little notebook in a 7th floor urban flat with minimal shelving space, lived in by a young-at-heart and vibrant soul. Of course a dirty basement works too (at least when your great great grandkids are digging through the antiques, they’ll be all “at least my greatest great grandparent had taste).

Another addition for those who like to create their own mini cookbooks (or mega, depending). This printable recipe page features a two-colour blue and red Art Nouveau theme. You can either type on the pages yourself or print them blank to hand write your favourite recipes before printing, punching some holes, and sticking ‘em in a binder. Recently it’s been suggested I provide printable recipe page templates, as opposed to cards, so that people can create their own homemade cookbooks. What a fantastic idea!

So here’s the start: a simple recipe page template which can be typed on in Acrobat. There are two formats: one for US sized paper and one for the European A4 standard (I can’t tell you how confused I was for the first years I moved to the UK and couldn’t fit my cross-continental pages together). Some extra space has been left along the left hand column for holes if you should wish to punch any. Otherwise you could slip them in a plastic sleeve so they’re protected from the spills of a standard kitchen.

The recipe pages are in basic black and white, with a little grey, and feature an illustration in the upper left of various fruits. This is a quite generic template, so would be suitable for all sorts of different types of recipes.
